Terms of Use
The Acceleration Newsroom is an internal tool provided by Acceleration for the use of its staff and authorised contractors. It is not a public service. These terms describe the conditions of your access to it.
Authorised use only
You may use this system only if an administrator has granted you an account, and only for Acceleration business. There is no self-registration: every account exists because someone created it deliberately.
Access is granted for as long as you need it for your work and may be changed or withdrawn at any time, including when your role changes or your engagement ends.
Your account is yours alone
Do not share your credentials with anyone, inside or outside the company. Do not sign in on behalf of someone else, and do not let another person use a session you have opened.
This matters more here than the usual boilerplate suggests. The system records actions against the account that performed them — who invited whom, who started or stopped tracking a client, who created a document. If you share an account, those records become wrong, and they are relied upon.
If you believe your credentials have been exposed, say so promptly using the support form. Reporting an exposure quickly is treated as the right thing to have done, not as a fault.
Tiers, and not working around them
Access is organised into tiers, and different tiers see different parts of the system. The HR area, the 360 area, company management within it, and administrative controls are each gated separately. Tiers are not strictly ranked: holding a higher-sounding tier does not necessarily grant everything a lower one has.
You may use what your tier grants you. You may not attempt to reach areas it does not grant, whether by editing requests, guessing addresses, using someone else’s session, or asking a colleague to retrieve something on your behalf that you could not retrieve yourself. If you can reach something you believe you should not be able to, report it rather than using it.
Company property
The system, its contents, and everything produced through it — client records, news analysis, briefs, newsletters, recruitment signals, documents and calendars — are Acceleration property. Your access does not make any of it yours, and it does not transfer with you when you leave.
On the end of your employment or engagement, your access will be removed and you are expected to return or destroy any copies you hold outside the system.
What you may not do
- Use the system for anything other than Acceleration business.
- Extract data in bulk for any purpose not agreed with your manager.
- Interfere with the system’s operation, including its scheduled jobs, its data sources, or the third-party services it depends on.
- Use it in a way that breaches an agreement Acceleration has with a client, a supplier or a data provider.
- Remove, disable or work around the access controls described above.
Detailed expectations about the information itself — particularly client information and the acquisition pipeline — are on the Acceptable Use page, which forms part of these terms.
Availability
This is an internal tool under active development. It may be unavailable, incomplete, or wrong at any time, and no availability commitment is made. Some parts of the system are marked as drafts or as unfinished; treat those markings as accurate.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the system does. Continued use after a change means you accept the current version.
